Kendall Alway
BFA, PT, DPT
Owner of SFPAPT
Kendall is a former professional dancer with over 20 years of ballet training. She has been a licensed physical therapist since 2001 and is the owner of SF Performing Arts Physical Therapy. She is also the former director of the ODC Healthy Dancers' Clinic. She has presented at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), Harvard University’s Spaulding Rehab Hospital, and at the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA). She is the former Informational Papers chair for the Dance USA Taskforce on Dancers’ Health and an electives instructor in Dance Medicine for the UCSF PT Department. Kendall has had the honor and privilege of treating dancers from most of the major dance companies in San Francisco. Her practice welcomes students, professionals, and individuals of all ages (including non-dancers).

Kat Bower - currently on hiatus
PT, DPT, MTC, PN-1
Kat is the former Director of Dance Medicine for Miami City Ballet, host of The Dance Docs Podcast, dancer turned endurance athlete and Pilates instructor. For over a decade she has been treating, educating and guiding dancers through a holistic approach to optimize performance and prevent the “fit but unhealthy” athlete. Kat’s strong love for movement paired with manual therapy skills has helped her excel in the treatment of performing artists. She has presented at numerous conferences for IADMS, PAMA, and the APTA, as well as authored papers for DanceUSA and other publications. She is excited to join the therapists at SF Performing Arts Physical Therapy and to help you achieve your goals.

Erin Yen
Office Manager, PT Aide
Erin Yen is our current Office Manager and PT Aide at SF Performing Arts Physical Therapy. She is a freelance professional dancer and choreographer currently residing in the Bay Area. She has performed for individuals and dance companies across the country. Erin holds a BFA with Distinction in Dance from the Ohio State University. She is fluent in Laban Movement Analysis, and she was the first to Labanotate work from acclaimed choreographer Doug Varone. She is thrilled to be serving dancers and movers of all kinds through San Francisco Performing Arts Physical Therapy.
